A 52 yrs old gentlemen presented to us in a state of shock. There was history of fall of a heavy weight (almost a ton) while working on the railway godowns over his pelvis.
After initial resuscitation, we found the pelvis to be badly crushed, there was central fracture dislocation of right hip along with fractures in ilium, sacrum and superior-inferior pubic ramii of right side.
He was taken up for surgery in which both columns of Acetabulum (anterior and posterior) were fixed. Rest of the fragments fell back into their respective places.
The patient started walking non weight bearing in 2 days and in 8 weeks post op, he is walking giving full weight on the affected limb
